Get $1,000 Trade-Up Credit Towards a New DeMayo D2® Knee Positioner

Now is the time to upgrade to the new De Mayo D2® Knee Positioner.

Initially released in 2003, the original De Mayo Knee Positioner® became one of the best known and most effective surgical knee positioners available. The latest version evolved from years of feedback and IMP innovation, resulting in the De Mayo D2®, our most stable and easy-to-use knee positioner to date.

See below for a comparison of a few of the key innovations and to learn how the new D2® can help improve your experience in setting-up, positioning, and cleaning.

Explore the many benefits of the New D2®

Push Button Pin Locking Clamp

Saves time in locking the clamp to the side rail, also prevents movement of the pins for a more secure, solid connection than previous clamp generations.

Please consult IFU for proper clamp placement

Fold Down Baseplate Pins

Enables placement within the sterilization container. (Shown Below)

Sterilization / Storage Tray

Original De Mayo Knee Positioners® had pins that were fixed vertically, making it impossible to load in low-profile sterilization equipment. The new D2® is shown inside the optional low-profile container, which securily holds the D2 during sterilization. Soft rubber coated mounts protect the unit from scratching while in storage.

Carriage Brake

Locks Flexion/Extension and allows Medial/Lateral ROM testing.

Knurled Thumb Screw with Spring

Allows you to reassemble the handle with ease. (See below)

Integrated tension spring assures correct orientation

Serialized carriage gear helps keep parts together

Easily remove carriage for cleaning

"Flip" teflon pad stays on the carriage for easy cleaning

Laser Etched Component Serial Number

Laser etched numbers assure that the correct components (base, carriage and boot) stay together. Extends life, reduces wear and simplifies assembly.

Testimonials

  • “It’s very helpful in the OR, for example, we used it last weekend on a sub troch fracture in the lateral position and it helped us position.”

    - Dr. James Cameron -MD
  • “I like the SteriBump because it’s lint-free, safer for patient positioning because it’s more secure and easier for the doctor to use than wrapping towels.”

    - Caitlyn Pourcho -RN, OR Circulator
  • “From establishing the position and securing the patient to performing procedures and testing range of motion, we created a system that’s faster and easier while also giving doctors completely unrestricted access to the surgical field.”

    - Ed De Mayo M.D. -Device Inventor
  • Our hospital purchased SteriBump® to replace our handmade ‘bundles’ for many of the same reasons that hospitals moved away from re-sterilizing cloth OR table drapes some years ago.

    - Anonymous -Central Sterile Services (CSS) Administrator
  • "The best reason I have for using the SteriBump is that it is sterile every time. The sterility is validated. We were using rolled blankets that were sterilized before this that were sterilized in Sterile Processing. It's one less item they have to deal with and try to keep up with."

    - Brenda Conbeer -OR Inventory Coordinator
